In 2003, WILDGuides teamed up with English Nature (now Natural England), the Government agency
that champions the conservation of wildlife throughout England.
Together, we produced a series of simple-to-use yet definitive photographic guides on Butterflies, Dragonflies, Orchids and Arable Plants, the profits from which support a range of conservation charities. Independently, we have subsequently produced 2 new titles shown below. Our British birds have seen significant changes to their populations and habitats over the last 100 years. This book looks at some of these changes in a rural setting, comparing accounts of a century ago with the situation pertaining today.

The aim of this book is to help readers discover butterflies. It has detailed descriptions and photographs of 66 good places to find butterflies. They have been chosen not only because of the butterflies there, but because they are lovely places to visit in their own right. Readers can choose where they would like to go and find out what butterflies there are to be seen and where to look.

Please find enclosed a cheque for the sale of 30 copies of Britain's Dragonflies . This has been a very successful venture and has raised £135 for the British Dragonfly Society. I would like to repeat this venture next summer when I will be running a similar workshop. Many thanks for getting in contact and sending me the books. Yours Sincerely...

I have all the latest books on orchids, but the WILDGuides book by David Lang is the best one I have seen. I particularly value the full page of orchid names and flowering months, and the habitats section is very good. Also, unlike some of the other books, the lovely photographs are really clear and make identification easy.
