4) Burnt Orchid

Cyril, aged 27, from Geneva, has travelled to many places in search of birds, mammals, bats and nature in general. His interest in nature began when he was 11 with birds, soon after bats, then dragonflies, orchids, reptiles, amphibians and mammals, so it looks like Cyril will be interested in a number of forthcoming WILDGuides titles!

After winning the prize of WILDGuides WILDBrain, Cyril told us a bit more about his main interests and hopes for the future. "Mammals are one of my favourite subjects of interest. I have travelled to California and British Columbia several times especially to watch sea mammals and to go on pelagics. I have also organised several trips to the central coast of BC to watch sea mammals, bears, wolves, birds and other animals and will do more in the future. One of my dreams is to travel on a boat cruising the Bay of Biscay to see all the sea life out there. I'm active here in Geneva with Birds and Bats studies, also working as a bird and nature guide for different organisations in Switzerland and in the UK. I'm happy of course in winning the prize and impatient to learn more about nature with your books."

Cyril has won copies of Birds, Mammals and Reptiles of the Galápagos Islands, A Visitor's Guide to the Falkland Islands, Britain's Dragonflies and Britain's Butterflies which we hope will help him to increase his WILDBrain knowledge still further!
